I had an excellent five days away, thank you.
I think I'm gonna drop my format. It's boring and restrictive. Free-flow works better.
The Plain White T's are playing a free concert in Memorial Park on August 12 at 5:00. Not the most convenient time in the world, but still worth going.
So, what did everyone think of Harry Potter? I adored it; it was a beautiful end to the series that shaped my childhood. (Doesn't that sound sappy?) I won't put anything else here because of the whole spoiler thing, but I will mention that the worst deaths, in my opinion, were those of Lupin and Tonks.
I recently picked up:
Star Wars IV, V, and VI: Always, always wonderful movies. Despite the fact that Mark Hammell screwed up his face in V and VI.
Brave New World Revisited: An interesting read if you can put up with a hundred or so pages of philosophical Huxley. He brings up some very good ideas about the dangers of overpopulation, which I have trying to throw at people for years.
Ben Folds' Rockin' the Suburbs: Ben Folds can rock my suburbs any time he feels compelled to do so.
Ben Folds: Still Fighting It
Now It's Overhead: Wonderful Scar
