Lock the doors from the inside.

My, my, where does the time go?

I'm temperamental, unreliable, and skittish.

Work takes a huge chunk out of my life. Money puts one back in. Oh, the irony.

I am eagerly anticipating August 14. Damn you, Jade and Davey, for pushing the release date back. Don't worry. I still love you.

I ramble a lot.

Let's see what I've recently picked up.

Straylight Run: The Needles The Space Excellent piece of work. "Who Will Save Us Now" is my favorite track. I still maintain that Prepare To Be Wrong is their best album, but this one wins over their debut.
Tiger Army: Tiger Army Definitely their tightest album, despite being their first. I'm likin' it a lot. Definitely beats Ghost Tigers Rise. It's loud, fast, and oh so me.
June: Make It Blur Eh. It's okay. If You Speak Any Faster wins this contest. I'm not feeling the short, clippy songs that all seem to mold together into one mushy blob.
Emery: The Weak's End I got this on a recommendation from a friend. It's all right. Typical screamo-emo; nothing too distinguishing from the rest of that genre, aside from lyrics. Kickass lyrics. And the music's growing on me. Who knows. This may yet become one of my favorites.
Fields: Everything Last Winter I like Fields more and more with every new song I hear. They're got the ability to just put me in a trance, and I love that.
Stars: A Lot of Little Lies for the Sake of One Big Truth Playful, sweet, and very Stars. Cute EP. I like. I like even more that they are coming on November 4. Oh, I like, like, like.

iTunes has also finally managed (for the first time in about three months) to produce a good Single of the Week. It's Matthew Good's "Born Losers", and it's a winner, especially if you're a fan of acoustic or folk rock.

Care to sample?

Straylight Run: Who Will Save Us Now
Tiger Army: Never Die
June: I'd Lose Myself
Emery: Walls
Fields: You Don't Need This Song (To Fix Your Broken Heart)
Stars: When?
Matthew Good: Born Losers (if you're really too lazy to get it from iTunes)

Oh, and look: because I'm really nice (and I expect cookies for this), I will give you "Semiotic Love".

You know you love me.

Music makes me lose control. Wah wah wah wah wah...
