ode to my helplessly flailing sorority

I spoke with Emalie today, who informed me that no one came to ASA's recruitment event last night. She said that the chapter had had a discussion about how to "get our name out and improve our image."

Let me tell you how this can be accomplished:

1. Stop writing all of our announcements, emails, Facebook statuses, etc. in all caps.

2. Stop ending every sentence with five million exclamation points.

3. Exhibit a sense of maturity in all things, not just writing.

4. Fix our GPA and, ya know, encourage members to actually DO things. Besides ASA. And partying.

Number one especially. I would never join an organization that wrote things in all caps. Also I like to party, I do, but I also like getting things done. Both can be accomplished. We will always be a flailing sorority.

In addition to 1 and 2, please use correct grammar and spelling. Examples:
"Sum" is a mathematical term
"yo" and "u" and easily be combined to form the word you are actually looking for.
Kno has a w on the end of it.

Remember when we were the gettin-shit-done sorority with the highest GPA, the most leadership positions in campus clubs (despite our small size), and still managed to log 15-20 volunteer hours minimum per person?

There was a major typo in that one. Why I should read things before hitting "enter."
Perhaps they should start doing some of the stereotypical things like choosing a night everyone studies (ACTUALLY studies) in the library wearing letters. That gets people to see you and will help girls with their work.
Oh, and I second the statements regarding CAPS and !!!!! and grammar in every post.

I am sad to hear that no one showed up...
