ending sentences with prepositions

Today, I helped my mom dust the tops of cabinets and now know where every piece of pottery in our kitchen came from.

I watched British Top Gear with my dad and drank Mountain Dew, which I have not done in a very long time. I don't drink soda at school, which is probably a good thing. But my mom bought it for me because she knew I like it, and I am trying to use this as an excuse for drinking it when really I just love the taste. This is why I have always been horrible at diets: I do not have the self-control to stop myself for prolonged periods of time, especially when the food I am trying to avoid is set out before me.

I have been realizing that I can get along without him. This does not hurt as much as I expected--or wanted--it to.
