Question for Knox people, particularly IR majors:

So, because I like to plan things out years in advance, I am putting together my classes for winter and spring term.

This is what I am definitely doing:

Winter
ECON 302
PS 315
half-credit independent study
something else

Spring
ECON 301
GERM 202
auditing BUS 280
something else

For the something elses, I would ideally like to take PS 234 (Political Psych) in the winter and PS 312 (International Organizations) in the spring. However, neither of those are major requirements, and reason tells me I should take ECON 303 and BUS 211 instead, which are required.

By winter term, I will need 3 more PS/IR electives for my major. I don't need any more econ electives, though I'll probably take some at one point or another.

Thoughts? Should I listen to reason, or should I take the super cool PS classes? (ECON 303 is statistics, and BUS 211 is accounting; these are the two econ courses I am least looking forward to, which is why it is so tempting to put them off.) How are Andy and Seibert? Are they worth the procrastination?

You can take only 2.5 credits and you may consider doing that for winter so you do not die of stress. I do not know how difficult Econ 300s are, but Sue's 315 will ask a lot of time/work. No one cares if you have only a 2.5 credit term and you might want to give yourself some breathing room.

You have to watch out for Andy because he is demanding, but very informative and fair. With Seibert you will get an easy A; you'll learn a lot if you do the reading and if your class participates. Seibert will also retire soon so I recommend a class with him (he's one of my favorites) and is an excellent resource. Andy likes to lecture, Seibert does not. Depends on your style. If you want to know more specifically, I can elaborate.
