I have no inhibitions about making fun of people.

One of my favorite quotations is from the sarcastic, cynical, and beautiful Jade Puget, guitarist for AFI:

"An exclamation point makes everything I say more exciting!"

Jade's point is clearly proven by this email that I received today (from, I should mention, someone who is studying to be a teacher):

"At [insert meeting] on [insert date], I need everyone to bring their black dress with them!!! This is very important!!! This will be the attire for [insert event] and I need to make sure everyone has it going on!!! lol...Please bring the dress with you!!! Thanks for your patience!"

Congratulations; it only took you five sentences to temper your usage of exclamation points and realize that I am not nearly as excited about the prospect of dragging a garment bag across campus as you are.

(Also: "black dress" was capitalized. Clearly, I am supposed to bring the one Black Dress to rule them all and in the blackness bind them...but as I do not own this dress, I kept it lowercase here.)
