I might be bitter.

I'm writing an investigative story on Phonathon at Knox. Here are some interesting things I have found out:

-Students have been told not to ask for small donations because "it degrades our purpose."
-Phonathon is the most meaningful job on campus because you have a boss who expects results and your work actually matters.
-Advancement people, despite what you think, students don't apply for Phonathon because they know it is "an impressive job to prospective employers." They apply because you pay them $9 an hour. Ask them. I did.
-Current parents are called because the idea that they can't afford to give more in addition to paying tuition is "bogus."
-I made more calls by myself last summer for the Nebraska Democratic Party than the entire Phonathon staff made all of last year.
