plus, the case is orange

Today, I checked out a Playaway from the library. A Playaway is like an audiobook except that it's small and self-contained--about the size of an iPod. But by far the coolest thing about it is that I can speed up how fast the reader reads. I've always hated audiobooks because I can read much faster than the person on the disc can speak. But I can increase playback up to five times on my Playaway. I kind of love it. (The fact that the book is about the experiences of a journalist who spent 15 months living with an American platoon in Afghanistan definitely ups the awesome factor.)
