As much as I enjoy the wallet-friendliness of places like Half-Price Books, sometimes I buy books new solely so I can touch them and revel in their perfection before cracking them open.
On the subject of brand new books: Stephenie Meyer, please stop writing them. Okaythanksbye.

There's something nice about old books.
Sometimes I get tempted to read the rest of the Twilight books. I read the first one for Young Adult Lit and was embarrassed the whole time. They are fun and easy to read, like Harry Potter, only worse.
Can we just say that the best line in the first Twilight novel is, It's not wise to "carelessly use finite resources"? Something to that effect.
And so that is why the whole thing is a blatant add for Volvo and not old beater trucks.
