An exclamation point makes everything I say more exciting!

I realized today that recently I have been using an overabundance of exclamation points.

(!)

Exclamation points signify false or forced excitement.

So what am I falsely and forcibly excited about?

Summer brings Europe (frigging SWEET) and, well, hot weather.

And college visits.

And moving on.

And leaving behind.

(I don't like change. And I definitely don't like summer. Aside from Europe, that is.)

But alas, societal doctrines tell me that I, as a teenager and student, should be excited about summer. So the socially-conforming part of me goes along with the play.

I am trying to eliminate this part of myself. It and I don't tend to get along very well.

And you all know that you'd rather crush your problems than solve them.

(crushcrushcrush)

I'm not nearly as pragmatic as I'd like to think.
