All right, darlings.
I know no one ever reads this, but that's fine. Talking to invisible people just makes me sound crazier, and there's no harm in that, right?
From now on, this will be my personal blog. I need one. I miss my Xanga, despite how childish the thing was getting. I like this better. It feels...better. I guess.
Blah.
But...I still like to share. So I'm starting an mp3 aggregator. I'll post a link when I get it up and running.
I recently picked up (yes, I'm going to keep doing this):
Broken Social Scene: Feel Good Lost In most cases, you have to be in the right mood to enjoy BSS. Not sure I was in that mood when I first listened to this, but it's not bad.
Depeche Mode: Construction Time Again Um, it's Depeche Mode. Enough said. Honestly, the only Depeche Mode album I ever didn't enjoy was Music for the Masses. Something went wrong with that one.
Explosions in the Sky: All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone Sometimes you just need to be put in a trance. Explosions in the Sky will do that for you. Love this band.
Morningwood: Morningwood It's nice to hear a completely new sound unlike anything you've heard before. Great album, kids. Keep 'em coming. Warning: dirty.
Star Wars: The Phantom Menace OST Okay, so I know no one liked the new Star Wars. But I did.
Stars: The Comeback EP You can't go wrong with Stars. It's such a bright, cheery sound, even on the sadder songs. Calm enough for daydreaming, yet fun enough for a party.
Stars: Dead Child Stars Another short, early installment from Stars. Another good one.
Stars: In Our Bedroom After the War Ah, the new album. As you can tell, it started me off on a Stars downloading spree. I'll have more on this once I'm finished listening to it.
Stars: Nightsongs Lalalalala, I love Stars. Half of this is the same as their A Lot of Little Lies for the Sake of One Big Truth EP, so you may not want to spend your money on both. (Though I never said anything about spending money...*evil laugh*)
Oh, and guess what I listened to...in. its. entirety.
CEXCELLS.
It's amazing. New favorite album. I might die in the wait for a hard copy.
Yes, I am actually buying a hard copy. It's worth it.
(I know what you're thinking: if Anna, who never buys CDs, is buying a hard copy, it must be pretty damn good.)
Exactly.
You can listen to it here.
EDIT: Here ya go.
