And too afraid, much too afraid to sing.

I saw Kevin and Courtney at Upstream tonight. It was a nice surprise.

Let's see what I've recently picked up.

!!!: Louden Up Now Hmm. This one's going to take a little growing time. I like it, yes, but when the second track hit me with line after line of "Fuck this shit", it was a bit much. Really. They've got a great sound. If only they could get the vocals to match...
Depeche Mode: Violator They say this is Depeche's greatest album. Not sure I agree, but honestly, it's Depeche Mode. It's ab-so-freak-ing-lute-ly wonderful.
Eisley: Combinations I'll get back to you on this one once I'm finished listening to it, but I'm definitely excited. Eisley's one of my favorite acts to come out of the indie scene in recent years. Oh yes, I'm diggin' it.
Explosions in the Sky: Those Who Tell the Truth... When you need to just disappear into a world of blissful instrumental music, this is what you want. Gorgeous.
iLiKETRAiNS: Elegies to Lessons Learnt I. Adore. This. Band. I just discovered them, and they are amazing. Smash Depeche Mode, Interpol, and Explosions in the Sky together, and you've got some idea of what they sound like. You know how it feels when you're finished listening to a CD and you lean back in your chair, suddenly feeling more complete? Yeah. This did that for me. YOU MUST CHECK THEM OUT. www.myspace.com/iliketrains
Swan Lake: Beast Moans Another underrated indie act. Not as wonderful as ohmybeautifulGod iLiKETRAiNS, but still worth a good listen.

...

Can you tell that I like iLiKETRAiNS?

Indeed.
